Die längste Auswärtsfahrt steht für die Mannschaft des VfR Garching an. Am Samstag geht es gegen den SV Viktoria Aschaffenburg 01. Anstoß ist um 14 Uhr im Stadion am Schönbusch.

Toto-Pokalfinalist Aschaffenburg

Das Team von Jochen Seitz ist am vergangenen Dienstagabend gegen den TSV 1860 München im Toto-Pokal angetreten. Nach einer 2:0-Führung konnte die Gäste aus München nochmal an ein 2:2 herankommen bis in der 82. Minute Top-Torjäger Björn Schnitzer den 3:2-Siegtreffer erzielte. In der Regionalliga Bayern traf der offensive Mittelfeldspieler schon sieben Mal treffen und bereitete neun Treffer vor. Somit steht die Viktoria im Toto-Pokalfinale und trifft auf den DrittligistenWürzburger Kickers. Die Aschaffenburger mussten also am Dienstagabend eine kräftezerrende Leistung Abrufen um dieses Spiel zu gewinnen. Trotzdem werden sie von dem Sieg mit Selbstvertrauen auf die Partie gegen den VfR Garching schauen. Es trifft der 13. auf den 12. der Regionalliga Bayern und beide Mannschaften haben den Klassenerhalt noch nicht sicher.

Nachdem die Mannschaft in der Regionalliga die letzten beiden Partien jeweils torlos mit dem Gegner trennte, war der SVA-Coach Seitz nach Dienstag bestimmt froh, dass die Blau-Weißen das Tor getroffen haben. Auch Kapitän Simon Schmidt konnte zum Sieg am Dienstagabend mit einem Treffer beitragen. Einzig auf Jonas Fritsch und Malick Diarra muss die Viktoria am Samstag verzichten. Beide fehlen auf Grund von Verletzungen.

Ein Sieg zum Klassenerhalt

Aus dem Spiel gegen den 1.FC Nürnberg ging das Team von Daniel Weber mit Selbstbewusstsein. Man hatte es den jungen Talenten in der ersten Hälfte so schwer wie möglich gemacht, um Torchancen zu erspielen. Ab der 60. Minute wurde man dann auch noch spielbestimmend und konnte einen Punkt aus der Frankenmetropole Nürnberg mit nach Garching nehmen. Man hatte Geduld bewiesen und gewusst, dass die Qualität in der Mannschaft steckt einen Treffer zu erzielen. Genau so will die Mannschaft auch beim Löwenbezwinger Aschaffenburg auftreten. Die Abwehr wird wieder eine konzentrierte Leistung abrufen und die Laufbereitschaft, die man zuletzt in Nürnberg an den Tag gelegt hatte, erneut abrufen. Die englische Woche vom Gegner kann für die Weber-Elf ein Vorteil sein. Trotzdem darf man nicht mit Überheblichkeit in die Partie gehen.

Das Team fährt bereits am Freitagabend nach Aschaffenburg, um am Samstag ausgeruht und ohne lange Busfahrt im Kreuz im Stadion am Schönbusch ihre Leistung abrufen zu können. Wie schon in den Wochen zuvor fehlen nur die Verletzten Daniel Suck, Niko Salassidis und Tim Sulmer. Der Rest des Kaders ist fit und ist bereit für die letzten drei Partien der Saison 2018/2019. Mit einem Sieg in Aschaffenburg könnte man den vermeintlich wichtigsten Schritt in Richtung Klassenerhalt machen und wäre fast sicher durch.
